Bringing life to pavement. A driveway doesn’t have to be hard.

When their lifestyle called fro a secondary driveway off of the main drive for the camper, trailer, and toys, the wife said “heck no!” to asphalt, concrete, and gravel. The driveway had to fit with the perfectly manicured landscaping of the property. TrueGrid made it possible.

Challenge

This family had a fenced in sideyard made for all the toys - camper, boat, and trailers. But keeping the front yard’s aesthetic beauty while creating a driveway to that sideyard was a conundrum. Gravel, asphalt, and concrete would detract from the landscaping they had carefully and lovingly grown.

Solution

Enter TrueGrid Permeable Pavers with a soft-scaping solution that could handle any load their toys could bring. The area was excavated to 2” deep. Soil base fill was brought in to promote deep root growth, TrueGrid PRO PLUS pavers were locked together to create a layer of stability and durability. Sod was rolled and pressed into the TrueGrid with a roller. The new grass area was watered consistently until the roots took hold, and the area has been mowed since - just like any other lawn.

Result

2 years later, this TrueGrid grass driveway can take anything this family can drive on it - including a loaded cement truck! No ruts, no mud, no maintenance. Super-durable, incredibly stable, and made with 100% recycled plastic pavers and living materials.
